Why choose LED integrated downlights? GU10 downlights and integrated LED downlights both have their advantages. GU10 downlights will allow you to install a fire rated 'can' in the ceiling and then you can choose a LED GU10 bulb to suit your requirement, and when the bulb reaches it's end of life, you simply replace the bulb in the same way you would replace an old traditional halogen bulb. Integrated LED downlights are also a great option, they're easy to install, they generally have a wider beam angle and also have a smaller profile in the ceiling, which can be useful if you have lots of insulation in your ceiling void, whilst also offering a long life expectancy and super energy efficiency such as LED bulbs. All of this combines to surpass energy and efficacy requirements for Part L.
