The Dimplex Qrad Radiator is a high-efficiency, low-maintenance electric space heater designed to provide comfortable, safe, and economical heating in homes, offices, and other locations. It is designed to be energy-efficient and cost-effective, with a thermostat that allows for precise temperature control.
Dimplex’s Qrad electric radiator boasts cutting-edge features such as adaptive start technology and dual-element technology. Adaptive start technology allows the Qrad heater to learn the thermal characteristics of a room, including the room size, outside temperature and average heat loss, to determine how long it needs to run in order to reach the set temperature. Dual-element technology offers a connective element with a variable output and a radiant element, enabling the heaters to accurately and comfortably maintain room temperatures whilst saving energy. Fully Lot 20 compliant, Qrad also features three customisable heating timers with four time and temperature settings for each day of the week.

It is compatible with a wide selection of Dimplex electric heating systems such as Qrad heaters.
With the app, you can control heaters individually or group them into zones for quicker control and easier monitoring of energy usage. The Dimplex control app allows you to turn heaters on and off, adjust temperatures, set up schedules and ensure a minimum temperature is maintained . How do I install a Dimplex Qrad Heater?
Installing a Dimplex Qrad Heater is quick and easy. You must use the wall bracket supplied with the heater. There must be a minimum of 300mm clearance to the front and top of the heater and you should not install immediately below a socket outlet or connection box.
To fit the heater to the wall follow these steps:
1. Remove the bracket from the back of the heater by pressing down on the latches at the top of each bracket
2. Fix the bracket to the wall securely through the 4 pre-drilled screw holes
3. Line up the lower slots in the back of the heater with the bracket
4. Put the heater into an upright position and push the heater onto the bracket into the top latches
Is Dimplex Qrad Oil Filled?
No, the Dimplex Qrad is not an oil-filled radiator, it is an Oil-free heater that offers a high level of energy efficiency by utilising a convective element and a radiant element, either individually or at the same time. This allows for rapid warm up and enables the heater to maintain an accurate and comfortable room temperature.
What safety features does the Dimplex Qrad Heater have?
The Dimplex Qrad Heater is designed with several safety features, including an auto-reset overheat protection system that shuts off the heater before it reaches unsafe temperatures. The heater also includes a child safety lock and a splashproof IPX4 rating. Qrad heaters have been granted BEAB approval, the highest safety standard in the UK. This approval signifies that the product has been manufactured in an approved and inspected facility, and has been assessed by Intertek to ensure compliance with British and European safety regulations.
How do I maintain my Dimplex Qrad Heater?
The Dimplex Qrad Heater requires minimal maintenance. To clean the heater make sure that you disconnect the unit from the electricity supply first and ensure it is completely cool. You can then wipe the exterior with a soft damp cloth. If you wish to wipe behind the heater you can disconnect the heater from the wall bracket by releasing the latches on the bracket. Abrasive cleaners and furniture polish are not recommended as these may damage the finish. Periodically check wiring and connections for any signs of damage or wear, and replace them if necessary.
