Nest HF001235-GB smart home thermostat from Nest incorporates a two part system which is easy to install. The first part is portable mains powered (via mains cable and plug) which typically will be placed in a room where the most time is spent in the house, such as lounge, kitchen or bedroom. The other part is an easy to install thermostat, using the two wires from the existing wall thermostat or heating controller and plugged directly in to the back of the battery powered Heat Link E. This allows installation without tampering with the boiler itself and therefore can be installed if you have a basic understanding of wiring. Power must be turned off prior to installation. The Thermostat E and Heat Link E devices work together using temperatures in different locations in the house to ensure even heating.
