Voltaris 100A Single Phase MID Meter

VWS1IE is a 100A Single Phase Direct Connect Energy Meter with MID-approved import and export measurement, dual pulse outputs and a standard terminal cover.

Built for residential billing and renewable installations, the VWS1IE records energy drawn from the grid and energy exported back to it in one compact meter. It's a dependable choice for solar PV, battery storage and sub-metering where both directions of energy flow need to be tracked accurately.

Renewable-Ready Import & Export Metering

The VWS1IE measures imported and exported energy separately. You can see how much power a property uses and how much its solar PV or battery system sends back to the grid. That makes it well suited to export tariff tracking and to checking how well a renewable system is performing.

Separate pulse outputs for import and export let you connect the meter to energy management systems, data loggers or monitoring platforms. A bi-colour pulse LED (red for import, green for export) shows which way energy is flowing at a glance during commissioning.

Accurate, MID-Approved Billing

MID approval and Accuracy Class B (±1%) to EN 50470-3 make the VWS1IE suitable for billing, so landlords, park home sites and commercial sub-metering projects can recharge energy with confidence. The 6+1 digit display gives a clear, easy-to-read register for meter readings.

Low internal power consumption (voltage circuit ≤1.8W/10VA, current circuit ≤2.2VA) keeps the meter's own energy draw to a minimum. A 0.004Ib starting current means even small loads are captured.

Installer-Friendly Design & Compliance

Direct connection up to 100A removes the need for external CTs on single phase supplies, which saves installation time and cost. The terminal block conforms to BS 7856 and accepts cables up to 35mm². Pulse terminals take up to 4mm² for straightforward wiring to monitoring equipment.

The IP54 polycarbonate case with a Bakelite terminal block resists dust and splashes. A wide -40°C to +70°C operating range means the meter performs reliably in garages, outbuildings and external meter enclosures.
