BG CUCRC20DPA — 20A C Curve Type A Bidirectional RCBO (30mA, Double-Pole)

The BG Fortress CUCRC20DPA is a 20A C-curve bidirectional RCBO that combines residual-current protection with overload and short-circuit protection in a single compact module. Designed for domestic, commercial and renewable-ready installations, it offers 30mA Type A RCD protection to detect AC and pulsed DC leakage, while providing robust circuit protection against overloads and faults.

Its bidirectional design means the RCBO can safely operate where current may flow in both directions — such as in solar PV, battery storage or other generation-linked circuits — while also protecting lighting, socket and appliance circuits when used in BG consumer units and DIN-rail enclosures.

The CUCRC20DPA integrates two key safety functions in a single module:

Residual-current protection (RCD) trip at 30mA to guard against electric shock and leakage faults

Miniature circuit breaker (MCB) protection with a C-curve characteristic for overload and short-circuit events

This combined protection ensures both live and neutral poles are isolated during a fault for improved safety and compliance with BS 7671 regulations.
