This back draft extractor will prevent air blowing from outside back through the fan in to the bathroom when it is not operating. It is better than many others that I have seen as it has a small spring that holds the flaps shut preventing air blowing through from the outside, but opens allowing air to be extracted when the fan is running.
The only reason for 4 stars as opposed to 5 was the spring had not been installed correctly and it didn’t close the flaps- this was easily rectified by removing the spring, adjusting its position and replacing it- all working as it should now.

Simple but effective. I think the shutters should have had a second spring at the top, to give slightly more tension, but minor niggle and time will tell
