High Heat Retention For Off-Peak And Solar Energy

ECOHHR40PLUS is a HHR storage heater designed to hold onto more of the energy it stores overnight, so less heat is lost before you need it. Thick insulation, double high-heat-retention materials on all sides and isolated air cavities (front, side and rear air chambers) keep stored heat inside the core for longer, making better use of off-peak electricity and helping to reduce running costs. A specially formulated storage core and stainless steel heating elements provide stable, long-lasting performance, with 24.4kWh of charge stored over a 7-hour period for larger rooms.

Smart IEM Charging And Fan-Assisted Comfort

Built-in IEM (Intelligent Energy Manager) technology continually analyses previous days’ operation and room conditions to calculate how much energy to store, so the heater automatically adjusts its nightly charge instead of relying on fixed manual settings. When heat is required, a quiet, integrated fan quickly moves warm air from the core into the room, reducing warm-up times compared with traditional storage heaters. Three temperature levels (Comfort, Economy and Frost Protection), daily and weekly scheduling, intelligent start-up and open window detection all work together to keep spaces comfortable while avoiding unnecessary energy use. Overheating protection on the storage function, a safety thermostat with manual reset and a temperature sensor with calibration option add extra control and safety on site.

Smart Wi-Fi Control, App And Voice Integration

ECOHHR40PLUS is fully Wi-Fi ready when paired with the Elnur G-Control Hub (sold separately), giving you complete control from the ELNUR Gabarron app. You can adjust setpoints, create or edit daily and weekly programmes, group heaters into zones and see usage information in real time from your phone or browser. Geolocation control lets you turn heating on or off automatically based on your location, and energy monitoring in the app helps you understand and optimise heater usage over time. Pairing the heater and hub also enables voice control via Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant, so you can change temperatures and modes hands-free or as part of wider smart-home routines.

Use Surplus Solar Power With Solar Box

For homes with photovoltaic panels, ECOHHR40PLUS can use surplus solar generation as an additional, low-cost energy source. When connected to the dedicated Solar Box and power meters, the heater can be configured to charge from PV surplus alone, PV plus off-peak, or PV plus off-peak with grid-adjustment, so that free or cheaper renewable energy is prioritised whenever it is available. Charge level limits, solar activation thresholds and priority can all be set in the app, allowing installers and users to fine-tune how the heater interacts with the PV system and off-peak tariff.

Installer-Friendly, Robust Construction

ECOHHR40PLUS is designed for straightforward wall mounting, with robust thermoplastic fittings and a steel body finished in epoxy powder-coated RAL9010 to suit most interiors. High-quality, low-thermal-conductivity insulation and Class I construction support long service life, while the storage and balancing elements are interlocked so they never operate at the same time. A clear, front-mounted LCD control with very intuitive keyboard (and lock option) makes on-heater configuration simple for both installers and end users. At 730mm high and 1170mm wide, it delivers large-room heat output while remaining compact enough for typical domestic wall spaces.
