The EnviroVent EVF-H wall mounted unit is a whole house positive input ventilation (PIV) system with integral comfort heater, designed specifically for flats and apartments that don’t have a loft space. Mounted on an external wall, it gently introduces a continuous supply of filtered, tempered air to the central hallway, diluting and displacing moisture-laden, stale air to tackle condensation, mould and poor indoor air quality throughout the dwelling.

Powered by an ultra low watt brushless DC motor and forward-curved centrifugal fan, the unit delivers trickle and boost airflow settings from around 9 up to 23 litres per second with specific fan power from 0.29 to 0.39W/l/s and outlet sound levels as low as <15dB(A) at trickle (measured at 3m). The compact wall case (approx. 505mm high x 380mm wide x 185mm deep) is ideal where space is tight and loft access isn’t available.

Whole House PIV For Homes Without A Loft

The EVF H is designed as a central PIV unit for flats and apartments: fresh air is drawn in through the external wall, filtered, then supplied into the dwelling where it gently pushes out moist, stale air via natural leakage paths and existing extract points. This “displacement ventilation” approach helps stop streaming windows, reduces or eliminates black mould, removes musty smells and improves overall air quality for residents.

Because the air supply is almost imperceptible, occupants benefit from continuous background ventilation without noticeable draughts, supporting compliance with UK Building Regulations ventilation standards when correctly specified and installed.

Integral Intelligent Comfort Heater

An integral “intelligent low temperature” comfort heater tempers the incoming air during cold weather, helping maintain supply air temperatures around 10°C. A sensor monitors the incoming air and pulses the tubular heater element to hold the pre-set minimum, with two independent safety cut-outs that shut down the heater if the fan fails. A local enable / disable switch lets you turn the heater off for minimum running cost outside the heating season.

Ultra Low Watt DC Motor & Quiet Operation

The EVF-H uses an ultra low watt brushless DC motor with sealed-for-life ball bearings, designed for continuous operation at a pre-set background rate to minimise energy use and maintenance. Performance data shows:

Trickle setting ~9–10l/s at around 3.4–3.6W with SFP ~0.37–0.39W/l/s and outlet sound levels <15dB(A) at 3m

Boost setting ~20–23l/s at approximately 6.1–7.4W with SFP ~0.30–0.32W/l/s and outlet sound level around 20.3dB(A) at 3m

This combination of low power and very low noise makes the unit suitable for occupied residential spaces where fan noise needs to be unobtrusive.

Long Life Filter, Hours Run Meter & 5 Year Warranty

The wall unit is fitted with an integral air quality / insect filter designed for long life; EnviroVent advise cleaning or replacing the filter after roughly 24–36 months depending on conditions. Servicing is simply a case of exchanging consumable items, which can then be recycled by the manufacturer to reduce waste.

An integral hours-run meter is fitted as standard, giving landlords and maintenance teams an easy way to verify operation and schedule filter changes as part of planned maintenance. The unit carries a 5-year warranty and is BBA approved.

Installer Friendly & Regulation Ready

Designed to mount on an external wall with a 100mm duct and louvre grille, the EVF H is straightforward to install in retrofit or new build apartments. The system is 230V AC supplied and conforms to UK Building Regulations and relevant EMC and Low Voltage Directive requirements, with CE marking.
