The Kosnic Nok 2 in 1 NOK02/SST is a compact side-mounted non-maintained emergency light designed to add three-hour emergency compliance directly to Kosnic LED battens and non-corrosive fittings — by connecting into the 20mm conduit entry point at the end of the batten using the supplied extension tube. Combining manual test and automatic self-test operation via an internal DIP switch, 160lm emergency output, IP65 and IK10 ratings, and an exceptional 160,000-hour LED lifetime, it is a purpose-built add-on that keeps the installation clean, the fitting count low, and the maintenance burden minimal.

Side-Mount Directly onto LED Battens and Non-Corrosives — No Separate Fitting Required

The NOK02/SST installs directly onto the 20mm conduit or gland entry point at the end of a compatible Kosnic LED batten or non-corrosive fitting using the included extension tube — no additional back box, no separate ceiling mounting, and no extra conduit run required. A push-wire loop-in and loop-out terminal block is included for fast, clean wiring connection. This approach keeps the emergency lighting integrated within the main luminaire assembly, reducing the total number of fittings on the ceiling and eliminating the visual disruption of a separate bulkhead-style emergency light alongside each batten.

Manual or Self-Test — Selectable via Internal DIP Switch

An internal dual-mode DIP switch selects between standard manual test and automatic self-test conforming to BS EN 62034 — at commissioning or at any later point, without rewiring. In self-test mode, scheduled functional and duration checks run automatically, removing manual test rounds from the maintenance programme and supporting compliance record-keeping. Both standard and self-test modes are confirmed in the technical specification, covering either requirement from a single stocked product. Standard, self-test, and DALI variants are available within the Nok range.

Clear LED Status Indication with Adjustable Brightness

A built-in green LED status indicator communicates operational health, test status, and fault conditions through distinct flash patterns — covering system healthy, duration test pending, duration test running, functional test running, battery charging fault, battery duration fault, lamp or luminaire fault, and installation fault warning. Indicator brightness is adjustable by pressing and holding the test button for more than two seconds. In manual mode, one press triggers a functional test and three presses trigger a duration test.

Two Selectable Beam Angles

Two beam angle options — 115° for broad general coverage and 70×140° for an asymmetric spread suited to corridor and batten-style layouts — allow the emergency light output to be matched to the geometry of the space. IP65 dust-tight and water-resistant protection with IK10 vandal-resistant impact rating makes the NOK02/SST suitable for food production facilities, industrial units, commercial kitchens, and covered external areas where non-corrosive fittings are typically specified. At just 0.2kg and 174×74×63mm, the unit adds minimal bulk to the host fitting.

160,000-Hour LED Lifetime — Outstanding Long-Term Reliability

An L80B10 LED lifetime of 160,000 hours at 25°C is among the highest in the Kosnic emergency range and means the LED array will essentially never need replacement across any realistic commercial or industrial service life. Combined with a 0°C to 50°C operating range, Class II double-insulated construction, and 2.5W maximum input delivering 160lm of 6,000K cool white emergency luminous flux, the NOK02/SST provides reliable three-hour emergency coverage with the lowest possible ongoing maintenance overhead.
