The Kosnic Onyx 2 in 1 ONY05/SST is a purpose-built add-on emergency lighting unit designed to mount directly onto LED high bay luminaires fitted with an eyebolt — converting any compatible high bay into a compliant three-hour non-maintained emergency light without a separate fitting. Combining manual test and automatic self-test operation via an internal DIP switch, 600lm emergency output from 4W, IP65 protection, and a polycarbonate and powder-coated stainless steel housing, it delivers reliable high-ceiling emergency compliance in warehouses, factories, sports halls, and large industrial and commercial spaces.

Mounts Directly onto High Bay Luminaires with Eyebolt — No Separate Fitting Required

The ONY05/SST attaches directly to the eyebolt mounting point of compatible LED high bay luminaires, integrating emergency functionality within the existing high bay assembly without adding a separate emergency fitting to the ceiling structure. A push-wire loop-in and loop-out terminal block is included for fast, clean wiring connection to the host luminaire supply. This approach keeps emergency compliance confined to the high bay unit itself, reducing the total number of ceiling fittings and the associated installation time and cost.

Manual or Self-Test — Selectable via Internal DIP Switch

An internal dual-mode DIP switch selects between standard manual test and automatic self-test conforming to BS EN 62034 — at commissioning or at any later point, without rewiring. In self-test mode, scheduled functional and duration checks run automatically, removing manual test rounds from the maintenance programme. The duration test interval can also be set remotely by pressing the button on the remote twice — a useful feature when the high bay is installed at height and physical access to the unit is difficult. Both standard and self-test modes are confirmed in the technical specification.

Clear LED Status Indication with Adjustable Brightness

A built-in green LED status indicator communicates operational health, test status, and fault conditions through distinct flash patterns — covering system healthy, duration test pending, duration test running, functional test running, battery charging fault, battery duration fault, lamp or luminaire fault, and installation fault warning. Indicator brightness is adjustable by pressing and holding the test button for more than three seconds — important for high-ceiling installations where a bright indicator could be distracting at floor level.

600lm Emergency Output for High-Ceiling Coverage

A maximum input of 4W delivers 600lm of 5,000K cool white emergency luminous flux — providing strong, clear illumination at floor level from the elevated mounting positions typical of high bay installations.
