Theben DIMAX 540 Plus B is a compact, flush-mounted intelligent LED dimmer designed for reliable control of LED, incandescent and halogen lighting in retrofit and new installations. 

Simple, Intuitive Push-Button Control

Mounted behind a retractive switch, it turns a simple push button into a full dimmer without major rewiring. A short press toggles the light on/off, a press and hold dims up or down smoothly (full 0–100% range in about 5 seconds), and a double press jumps straight to 100% brightness – giving users intuitive control from a standard wall switch position.

Retrofit Friendly – No Neutral Required 

Optimised for both R and C loads, the DIMAX 540 Plus B delivers smooth, flicker-free dimming across a wide range of dimmable LED lamps as well as traditional incandescent and halogen loads up to 150W. With no neutral conductor required, it’s ideal for upgrades in older properties where only live and switched live are present, helping electricians add dimming without chasing walls or pulling new cables.

Intelligent Dimmer

What makes it “intelligent” is the built-in control logic: you can adjust the minimum brightness to prevent LED flicker, the memory function saves the last light level and gently returns to it when switched back on, and a double press always recalls 100% brightness when maximum light is needed.

Two-Way & Multi-Way Dimming From Multiple Switches

The ultra-small, fully encapsulated body is designed for two-way and multi-way use. With support for cable lengths up to 100m, multiple retractive switches can control the same dimmer from different locations, while maintaining the same short-press / hold / double-press behaviour at every switch point.

Efficient, Protected & Built For Long-Term Use

Designed for long-term performance, the DIMAX 540 Plus B includes temperature cut-off, overcurrent protection and a short-circuit fuse. Stand-by consumption is just 0.34W, helping keep running costs and energy use to a minimum in both residential and commercial applications.
