Timeguard ZV700N — Digital Light Switch With Optional Dusk Start And 7 Day Programming

The Timeguard ZV700N is a digital wall light switch that replaces a standard switch to provide fully programmable automatic lighting control, without needing a neutral. With multiple operating modes including timed, dusk-to-time and random, it helps cut energy use and improve security by ensuring lights run only when needed.

Smart, Automated Lighting Control

Up to six ON and six OFF events can be programmed across either 5+2 or full 7 day schedules, giving precise control with 1-minute switching increments. In Auto mode the ZV700N follows your programmed times, while Photocell mode uses the built-in light sensor so lights only operate when it is dark and within set time windows. Random mode varies ON/OFF times by up to 30 minutes to simulate occupancy when premises are unattended.

Easy Retrofit, No Neutral Required

The ZV700N uses a 2-wire connection with no neutral required, so it can usually drop straight into an existing switch position on a standard 25mm BS flush or surface box. An internal PP3 9V battery powers the control electronics, preventing LED flicker at low loads and providing up to 720 hours of power reserve. An easy-view blue illuminated display and simple button layout make setup straightforward for both installers and end users.

Flexible Load Compatibility

Designed for modern lighting, the ZV700N supports 0–50W LED (extendable to 200W with the ZV900 load controller), 40–400W filament, 11–150W low energy and 18–76W fluorescent loads. Standby consumption is less than 1W, helping to keep running costs down in energy-conscious projects. With IP20 rating, Class II construction and a tough polycarbonate body, it is suitable for a wide range of indoor residential and light commercial applications.
