The Timeguard FRD1001 is a 6W fire rated LED downlight with integrated PIR detector, designed to cut energy use by ensuring lights only operate when areas are occupied. Selectable CCT3 colour temperatures (3000K, 4000K or 6000K) and lumen outputs up to 550lm make it easy to match the scheme across residential, commercial and common-area projects.

Efficient, Automated Lighting Control

The built-in PIR sensor provides 360° presence detection with a 4m diameter range at the recommended 2.5m mounting height. Adjustable on-time from 30 seconds to 15 minutes and a wide 10–1000 lux window mean you can configure lights to run only when there is movement and insufficient natural light. A pulse manual override allows permanent-on when required for cleaning, maintenance or inspections without reconfiguring the sensor.

Flexible CCT And Linking For Larger Areas

CCT3 selection (3000K/4000K/6000K) via dip switch lets installers standardise stock while still delivering warm, neutral or cool white from the same fitting. Up to 25 standard FRD1000 downlights can be wired alongside FRD1001 PIR heads on the same area, with up to six FRD1001 units per zone to cover multiple entry and exit points and fill dead spots in corridors or open-plan spaces.

Installer-Friendly, Fire Rated Design

The FRD1001 is designed for fast, tidy installs with a 68mm cut-out and a detachable driver using a 6-pin micro-fit connector for easy maintenance. An IP65 front face (IP20 back), -20°C to +40°C operating temperature range and 130° beam angle support use in a wide range of internal applications. Polycarbonate bezel with aluminium body construction delivers a robust fire rated downlight solution that fits neatly into modern ceilings.
