Timeguard SLW2301 — 2000W PIR Light Controller is a robust, weatherproof solution for automatically controlling external lighting based on movement and ambient light levels. Replacing the now discontinued Timeguard SLW2300, SLW2301 provides reliable dusk-to-dawn or motion-activated switching to improve security while reducing unnecessary energy use.

Ideal for domestic and light commercial applications, the SLW2301 combines a powerful PIR sensor with flexible time, sensitivity and lux controls. The built-in manual override allows temporary constant-on operation when required, making it practical for maintenance or extended outdoor use.

Intelligent PIR Control for Security and Efficiency

The passive infrared sensor detects movement across a wide 180° field, ensuring dependable activation when movement is detected across the detection zone rather than directly towards the sensor. With an adjustable detection range of up to 12m, it’s well suited to driveways, pathways and building perimeters.

The adjustable time delay allows lighting to remain on from 2 seconds up to 15 minutes, helping installers tailor operation to the site while avoiding wasted energy.

Flexible Dusk-to-Dawn and Lux Learn Operation

The SLW2301 supports dusk-to-dawn operation, automatically switching lighting on at dusk and off at dawn by disabling the PIR function. Alternatively, the Lux Learn feature allows the installer to teach the sensor the exact ambient light level at which the load should activate, ensuring consistent performance in changing environments.

Built for Outdoor Installations

With an IP65 weatherproof rating, this PIR controller is suitable for outdoor mounting in exposed locations. The adjustable detector head can be panned 45° left or right and tilted down by 30° when wall-mounted, allowing precise alignment during installation.
