It addresses the two distinct noise transmission paths simultaneously — casing breakout noise from the body of the unit, and in-duct transmission noise that would otherwise travel along the supply and extract ductwork into the habitable rooms of the dwelling. For the most acoustically demanding installation environments, this combined kit provides the highest level of noise attenuation available for the Sentinel Econiq S.

Complete Acoustic Treatment — Casing and Duct Paths Together

The acoustic enclosure wraps around the body of the MVHR unit in a construction of steel, foam, and expanded polypropylene (EPP), minimising breakout noise from the unit casing. The acoustic top box sits over the duct spigot connections at the top of the unit, attenuating the noise energy at the point where it would otherwise enter the connected ductwork and propagate to supply valves and extract grilles in the rooms.
