The Vent-Axia 411691 is the genuine OEM ISO ePM10 50% (M5) supply air pollen filter for the Lo-Carbon Sentinel Econiq M, L, MCP, LCP, and Cool-Flow MVHR units, supplied as a single filter per pack. Formerly classified as M5 under the EN779 standard and now rated as ISO ePM10 50% under ISO 16890, this higher-grade filter replaces the standard G4 supply air filter to capture smaller particles — including pollen, fine dust, and other airborne allergens — before the incoming air is delivered to the habitable rooms of the dwelling.

Higher-Grade Supply Filtration for the Econiq M/L Range

The standard G4 filter (supplied in the two-pack) protects the heat exchanger on both supply and extract sides, but for occupants who suffer from hay fever, allergies, or respiratory sensitivities, replacing the supply air filter with the M5 grade provides a meaningful additional layer of filtration. ISO ePM10 50% efficiency means the filter captures at least 50% of particles in the 10-micron size range — covering pollen grains, stone dust, and other coarser fine particles that pass through a G4 filter. For dwellings in higher-pollen or semi-rural environments, this upgrade is a straightforward way to significantly improve the quality of air being supplied to bedrooms and living spaces.

Supply Air Filter Only — Extract Uses Standard G4

The Sentinel Econiq M, L, MCP, LCP, and Cool-Flow units use separate filters for supply and extract air paths. The 411691 replaces the supply air filter only — the standard G4 extract filter continues to protect the heat exchanger and is replaced separately using the G4 two-pack. An ISO ePM2.5 70% (F7) filter is also available for occupants requiring the highest level of supply air filtration, capturing mould spores, bacteria, and fine particulate matter smaller than or equal to 2.5 microns.

Vent-Axia recommends checking filters at three months post-installation to account for construction dust, then at least every six months, with replacement at least every twelve months — or more frequently in higher-pollution environments.
