The Vent-Axia 444201 is a genuine OEM ISO ePM10 50% (M5) supply air pollen filter for the Sentinel Kinetic Plus E, Plus B and High Flow MVHR units. Formerly classified as M5 under the EN779 standard, this higher-grade filter is fitted in the supply air position to capture smaller particles — including pollen, fine dust, and other allergens — before the incoming air is delivered to the habitable rooms of the dwelling. It is supplied as a single filter per pack.

Why Upgrade to an M5 Pollen Filter?

The standard G3 filter fitted in the extract position protects the heat exchanger from coarser dust and debris. The M5 pollen filter in the supply air position provides an additional layer of filtration for the air being delivered into the living spaces — capturing finer particulates that a G3 filter would pass through. For occupants who suffer from hay fever, allergies, or respiratory sensitivities, or for dwellings in urban or high-pollen environments, the M5 supply filter meaningfully improves the quality of air entering the bedrooms and lounge from the MVHR system. ISO ePM10 50% efficiency means the filter captures at least 50% of particles in the 10-micron size range — the particle size most associated with pollen and coarser fine dust.

Supply Air Filter — Replacing Only What Is Needed

The Sentinel Kinetic Plus E, Plus B, and High Flow units use separate filters for the supply and extract air paths. This filter replaces the supply air filter only — the standard G3 extract filter (part 403702) is maintained and replaced separately to protect the heat exchanger. Vent-Axia recommends checking filters at three months post-installation to account for construction dust, then at least every six months, with replacement at least every twelve months — or more frequently in higher-pollution environments.
