The Vent-Axia 455213 is a single gang trickle and boost switch designed to give occupants direct manual control over the ventilation speed of heat recovery and mechanical extract systems. Fitting into a standard single gang back box (not supplied), it allows the system to be switched between trickle (low speed) and boost (high speed) modes from any room — ensuring higher extraction rates are available on demand when bathing, cooking, or other moisture-generating activities require them, without the system running at full speed continuously.

Manual Boost Control for MVHR, MEV, and dMEV Systems

The 455213 is compatible with Vent-Axia MVHR systems including the Sentinel Kinetic range, MEV systems, and dMEV (continuous trickle) extractor fans with two speed settings. For MVHR and MEV installations, it provides the manual boost switching required by Building Regulations Part F System 4 — where the whole-dwelling ventilation system must be capable of being boosted when moisture is generated in wet rooms. For dMEV installations, it can be wired as a remote boost switch to trigger the higher speed setting from a convenient wall location. Meeting Building Regulations Part F requirements typically involves fitting a boost switch in or near wet rooms; the 455213 provides the most straightforward way to achieve this in new build installations.

Single Gang — Fits Standard Back Box

At 85×85×10mm, the 455213 fits directly into a standard single gang back box, so no special housing or additional hardware is required beyond the back box itself (supplied separately). The white finish suits standard residential electrical fittings, and the slim 10mm front plate depth keeps the switch flush with the wall surface.
