Xpelair Simply Silent C4TSR 78346 is a powerful silent running bathroom extractor fan designed to reduce nuisance running noise whilst controlling excess humidity, odours and mould growth effectively. The C4TSR model benefits from a fully adjustable run-on timer which can be set at the point of installation. Adjustable from 30 seconds to 30 minutes, the fan will continue to run for the specified length of time after it has been switched off. This allows the fan to continue to remove excess humidity without the user having to remember to go back and turn the fan off.

The C4TSR 4 Inch extractor fan benefits from a range of features which allow them to deliver near silent running. Advanced Ghost™ Air Movement combines long-life silent running motors with precision engineered components alongside advanced air flow management which eliminates irregular air flow paths which can cause noisy extraction.

The fan is certainly far quieter than the one I removed so in that regard a good buy. I bought the contour one with baffles and because it is mounted fairly low the gap between the cover plate and base looks too wide. I will buy the standard one with a grill next time. Also I found the depth of this model too great for the gap between ceiling and floor above. Final point, getting the cover off to reveal the terminals and timer was very difficult requiring some brute force.
