The 7kW Andersen Q is a compact, connected home charger for every Type 2 electric car and plug-in hybrid. Drivers get lower running costs through solar and smart tariff support and installers get a quicker fit with no earth rod needed.

7kW Home Charging Without the Trailing Cable

Charge any Type 2 EV or plug-in hybrid at up to 7kW, ideal for topping up overnight on the driveway. The untethered socket means you use your own cable, so there's nothing hanging off the wall between sessions. A front LED shows charging status at a glance, and the illuminated socket makes plugging in simple in the dark.

Cheaper Miles From Solar and Off-Peak Tariffs

The Andersen Q is solar compatible, so surplus energy from your panels can go straight into your car instead of back to the grid. Support for smart tariffs such as Intelligent Octopus Go lets you charge in the lowest-cost windows. In the Andersen App, you can build custom schedules, track solar input and review detailed reports on every charge.

Continuous Fault Monitoring for Peace of Mind

A Real-Time Health Monitor System keeps watch throughout every session, and a Start-Up Self-Test checks the unit before charging begins. Earth Monitoring, Contactor Fault Detection and PME Monitoring guard against electrical faults, backed by internal 6mA DC protection. Remote locking through the app stops anyone else from using your charger.

Installer-Friendly Fitting and Load Control

No earth rod is required, which shortens install time and keeps costs down for your customer. Wired current sensors and current-reducing hardware provide dynamic load management, balancing the charger against household demand so the main supply isn't overloaded. IP65 and IK10 ratings make the unit tough enough for exposed outdoor walls, and over-the-air updates keep it current without a return visit. The charger is CE certified and covered by 7 years of Andersen Care Cover (subject to terms).
