Consort Over Door Heater 3kW Single HE7402

Consort Claudgen HE7402: 3kW heated air curtain designed to create a welcoming barrier of warm air above single doorways up to 0.63m wide, reducing heat loss in shops, hotels, offices, and other commercial premises.

Energy-Saving Doorway Protection

Positioning a heated air curtain above a frequently opened external door creates a continuous stream of warm air that acts as an invisible barrier between indoor and outdoor temperatures. This prevents heated air from escaping and cold draughts from entering, delivering overall energy savings compared to leaving doorways unprotected. The HE7402 is rated at 3kW and covers door widths up to 0.63m, making it a practical choice for single-door entrances in retail, hospitality, and office environments.

Flexible Heat Control

Three heat settings let you match the output to seasonal conditions, from full power in winter to a lower setting during milder weather. A dedicated fan-only mode provides air circulation without heating, useful in warmer months when you still want to maintain the air barrier effect. Integral switches on the unit give immediate local control, while the optional HE8407 remote switch allows operation from a more convenient location such as a reception desk or till area.

Versatile Installation

The HE7402 supports three mounting methods: suspended from the ceiling, wall-mounted using the supplied bracket, or fixed to existing trunking. The wall bracket allows angular adjustment so the airflow can be directed precisely across the doorway opening. Suitable mounting heights range from 2m to 2.3m. At just 634mm wide, 210mm high, and 115mm deep, the unit maintains a compact, unobtrusive profile above the door. It runs on a standard 230V single-phase supply drawing a maximum of 13A, keeping electrical installation straightforward.

Safety and Build Quality

An automatic thermal overload cut-out protects the unit from overheating, providing peace of mind in busy commercial settings where the heater runs for extended periods. The white finish (RAL 9016) blends with most commercial interiors. Noise output stays at a maximum of 46dB(A) at 3m, comparable to a quiet office environment, so the unit will not disturb staff or customers.
