Consort Over Door Heater 4.5kW WiFi Compatible Double HE8320RX

Consort Claudgen HE8320RX: 4.5kW wireless controlled double door heated air curtain finished in white, designed for commercial doorways up to 1.04m wide.

Effective Warmth at the Door

This overdoor heater delivers a powerful curtain of heated air across doorways up to 1.04m wide, keeping cold draughts out and warm air in. With a 4.5kW heating element and an air volume of up to 650mﾳ/h, it maintains a comfortable indoor environment in shops, hotels, offices, and other commercial premises. The unidirectional outlet pattern directs airflow precisely where it is needed, and mounting heights between 2m and 2.3m suit standard commercial door frames.

Wireless Control and BMS Compatibility

The HE8320RX is wireless controlled via a separately purchased advanced single zone controller, giving you flexible placement without trailing control cables. Choose from four compatible controllers: CRXSL, CRXSLWIFI, HRXSL, or LC. Each controller can operate multiple RX heaters across a zone, simplifying management of larger buildings. Full compatibility with Building Management Systems (BMS) allows integration into existing energy management strategies, helping facilities teams monitor and schedule heating centrally.

Versatile Installation

A wall mounting bracket is supplied as standard, allowing angular adjustment to optimise airflow direction. The free-hanging design also supports suspended or trunking mounting, so installers can adapt to the building layout. At just 1040mm wide, 210mm high, and 115mm deep, the unit sits neatly above a doorway without obstructing signage or door closers. Connection is single-phase 230V, drawing a maximum of 19.5A on the heating element.

Safety and Year-Round Use

An automatic safety cut-out provides thermal overload protection, shutting the heater down if internal temperatures exceed safe limits. A fan-only setting allows cool air circulation during warmer months, extending the unit's usefulness beyond the heating season. The white finish (RAL 9016) blends with most commercial interiors, and IP20 ingress protection suits standard indoor installations. Sound output stays at a manageable 49dB(A) at 3m, keeping the entrance area comfortable for staff and visitors.
