Convector Heating, Explained

Unlike a fan heater, this Consort Claudgen convector heater warms a room using natural convection: air passes over the aluminium heating element and exits through the perforated top grille, rising quietly through the space without moving air with a motor. That means no fan noise and no draughts, just steady, even background heat suited to bedrooms, offices, and other occupied spaces.

Flexible Comfort Settings

Four operating modes (Programme, Boost, Setback, and Manual) cover every scenario from daily scheduling to a quick top-up. Boost adds extra heat for up to 4 hours in 15-minute steps when a room needs to warm quickly. Comfort heat is adjustable from 15°C to 35°C, while Setback can be dialled down to between 4°C and 15°C for frost protection or maintaining a minimum background temperature in unoccupied rooms.

Safety & Reliability
