Fusebox ABTR Bell Transformer 1A 8-230V

FuseBox ABTR is a DIN rail bell transformer with selectable 8V, 12V or 24V AC outputs from a 230V 50Hz supply. It powers wired doorbells and chimes directly from the consumer unit or a modular enclosure.

Three Output Voltages in One Unit

The ABTR has three output voltages, so one transformer suits most wired doorbells and chimes. You don't need to stock different units for different bells. Connect terminals 1 and 2 for 8V at 1A, 1 and 3 for 12V at 0.67A, or 1 and 4 for 24V at 0.33A, depending on what the bell needs. When a customer upgrades their chime, you can simply move the output connection rather than replace the transformer.

Neat Consumer Unit Installation

The transformer clips onto a standard 35mm top hat DIN rail and mounts vertically in a consumer unit or modular enclosure. That keeps the doorbell supply tidy, protected and easy to find, instead of hidden in a separate box. Mains input connects to the bottom terminals and the bell wiring to the top, which keeps the low-voltage and mains sides clearly separated. Terminals take cables up to 4mm² with a 1.5Nm torque setting.

Safe, Standards-Compliant Design

The ABTR complies with EN 61558-2-8 and EN 61558-1, the safety standards for transformers used with bells and chimes. It is rated IP20 to EN 60529 and draws just 0.9W, so it adds almost nothing to running costs when left on all day. It is recommended for domestic use and operates in ambient temperatures from -5°C to +40°C.
