Fusebox ABTR16 Bell Transformer 0.5A 16-230V

FuseBox ABTR16 is a DIN rail bell transformer with selectable 8V, 16V or 24V AC outputs from a 230V 50Hz supply. It powers wired doorbells and chimes from the consumer unit or a modular enclosure, and includes a 16V output for bells that need it.

8V, 16V or 24V Output

The ABTR16 gives you three output voltages in one unit, with 16V replacing the 12V tap found on the standard ABTR. Connect terminals 1 and 2 for 8V at 1A, 1 and 3 for 16V at 0.5A, or 1 and 4 for 24V at 0.33A to match the bell or chime being fitted. If the customer changes their doorbell later, you can usually just move the output connection instead of replacing the transformer. When fitting a smart or video doorbell, check its voltage and power (VA) requirements against these ratings before installation.

Tidy DIN Rail Fitting

The transformer clips onto a standard 35mm top hat DIN rail and mounts vertically in a consumer unit or modular enclosure. That keeps the doorbell supply protected, labelled and easy to access. The 230V supply connects to the bottom terminals and the bell wiring to the top, keeping mains and low-voltage connections clearly apart. Terminals accept cables up to 4mm² with a 1.5Nm torque setting.

Low-Power, Standards-Compliant Design

Drawing just 0.9W, the ABTR16 can stay powered around the clock with almost no effect on running costs. It complies with EN 61558-2-8 and EN 61558-1, the safety standards for bell and chime transformers, and is rated IP20 to EN 60529. It is recommended for domestic use and operates in ambient temperatures from -5°C to +40°C.
