Fusebox FMS080 Switch Fused Isolator 80A 1P+N Supplied With ME80 Fuse

FuseBox FMS080 is an 80A single pole and neutral fused main switch, supplied with an 80A ME type cartridge fuse. It gives you a compact, protected isolation point for sub-mains feeding outbuildings, garages, annexes, EV chargers, heat pumps and second consumer units in domestic installations.

Fused Isolation for Sub-Mains

The FMS080 combines a switch and a fuse in one unit. It isolates both line and neutral, and the 22mm x 58mm fuse protects the outgoing circuit against overload and short circuit. That makes it a neat way to take a protected supply from the meter tails to a second board or a dedicated high-load circuit, without fitting a separate switch and fuse carrier. The switch is rated 80A at AC-21, and the 80A ME type fuse comes in the box, so the unit is ready to install.

Built to Recognised Standards

The switch complies with IEC/EN 60947-3. The fuse is to BS HD 60269-3:2010+A1:2013 and BS 88-3:2010, the standard for domestic cartridge fuses. The unit is rated 230V 50Hz with a 500V rated insulation voltage. Terminals accept cables up to 25mm² at a 2.5Nm torque setting, which suits standard 25mm² meter tails.

Straightforward Installation

The FMS080 fixes to the wall with three screws, and a cable tidy that fits at the top or bottom keeps the incoming and outgoing cables neat. Two screws hold the front cover in place, giving easy access to the terminals during installation and inspection. At just 80mm x 128mm x 63mm, it fits comfortably beside the meter or consumer unit.
