The Timeguard Weathersafe TW1409DPP is built for safe outdoor power in gardens, patios, workshops and demanding site environments. Its IP66 weatherproof rating protects against dust and powerful water jets, while the tough polycarbonate housing helps withstand everyday knocks and harsh conditions.

Outdoor Power With Added RCD Protection

Pre-fitted with a 2 gang 13A double pole switched socket, this unit provides a practical weatherproof power point for outdoor equipment and appliances. The 30mA Type A Passive RCD detects earth faults and disconnects the power supply to help reduce the risk of electric shock.

Because it is a passive RCD, it automatically resets after a power cut. This makes it especially useful for fridges, freezers, remote areas and unmanned locations where power continuity is important.

Secure, Easy Access Design

The hinged cover opens using a single latching clip for quick access, while maintaining IP66 protection when closed. The translucent cover lets users see the neon status indicators without opening the unit.

For added site security or public-facing installations, the cover includes locking points so it can be secured with a padlock to help prevent unauthorised access.

Installer-Friendly Weatherproof Socket

Fast-fix captive screws allow the accessory frame to be installed and removed quickly. The detachable back box includes separated mounting points away from the main wiring space, helping maintain the IP rating with less need for weatherproof sealant.

Multiple drill-out cable entry points on all sides and the rear of the back box give installers flexibility when routing cables.
