WCED WMRC40BSP — 40A B Curve EV Consumer Unit with an integrated Type A double-pole RCBO and Type 2 surge protection device, built for dedicated EV charger circuits.

Built-In Fault Diagnosis

The WMRC40BSP uses a twin-handle system: the black handle governs the MCB (overload/short-circuit) function, while the white handle governs the RCD function. If only the black handle trips, the fault is overload or short circuit; if both trip together, it points to a residual current fault. That distinction lets an electrician diagnose the problem on sight, cutting diagnostic time on site.

Complete EV Circuit Protection

Overcurrent protection, residual current protection and surge protection are combined in one enclosure. The Type A double-pole RCBO detects both 30mA AC and 6mA DC residual current, and the built-in Type 2 SPD includes a simple green/red visual indicator — green means the surge device is fine, red means it needs replacing — so condition can be checked at a glance without test equipment.

Installer-Ready Daesign

A compact 4-module enclosure with a selection of 25mm and 32mm cable entry knockouts on the top and bottom, cage clamp terminals rated to 35mm² incoming capacity, and 35mm DIN rail mounting keep first-fix and termination straightforward. It's finished in white polyester powder coating and rated IP40, suitable for standard indoor domestic and light commercial EV charging installations.
