AFMF28 Fusebox Consumer Unit 28P Mounting Frame

FuseBox AFMF28 is a 28P flush mounting frame for consumer units, made from 2mm steel and powder coated to RAL 9001. Its tall, portrait-format design lets you flush mount or semi-recess a 28P consumer unit for a neat, built-in finish.

Tall-Format Frame for 28P Consumer Units

Unlike the wider landscape frames in the range, the AFMF28 has a portrait layout of 362mm wide by 570mm high. That suits 28P consumer units where wall width is limited, such as alcoves, narrow hallways and cupboards. Depending on the installation, the board can sit flush or semi-recessed, and the frame gives a sharp, finished edge around the recess instead of rough plaster or plasterboard.

Durable 2mm Steel Build

The 2mm steel construction keeps the frame stiff and true along its full 570mm height, so it holds its shape once it's on the wall. The RAL 9001 powder coating gives a tough, easy-clean finish that pairs neatly with a white consumer unit. A 302mm x 510mm opening gives a precise surround for 28P enclosures.

Easy, Accurate Installation

Fix the frame to the wall with 4 x No.10 wood screws through its countersunk fixing holes, before you insert the consumer unit. Then fix the consumer unit base to the wall separately with 4 screws, making sure it stands at least 12mm proud of the wall so the front cover fits. The frame isn't attached to the consumer unit base, so you can align and adjust each part on its own for a plumb, secure result.
