The Aico Ei146E optical smoke alarm provides rapid and reliable protection against slow-burning fires, such as those originating from sofas, mattresses and electrical appliances. Equipped with automatic dust compensation and a sealed insect mesh, the Ei146E minimises false alarms while ensuring early detection of potential fire hazards.
Enhanced Features for Superior Performance
The Ei146E features a proven large capacity optical smoke chamber that undergoes automatic self-tests every 40 seconds, providing early warning of any unit degradation. This advanced technology, combined with improved energy efficiency and enhanced dust compensation compared to its predecessor (the discontinued Aico Ei146RC), ensures reliable fire detection while minimising nuisance alarms caused by dust or contaminants.
Easy Installation and Flexible Connectivity
The Ei146E is designed for easy installation with an easi-fit base and features a test/hush button for convenient testing and silencing of false alarms. For added peace of mind, the alarm can be interconnected with other alarms using the optional RadioLink base, enabling wireless communication between detectors and eliminating the need for complex wiring in hard-to-reach areas.

The smoke alarm is smart looking and was fitted by my electrician without any issues. This is an item that is difficult to review due to the nature of its use. Something you hope you won’t have test.

Great replacement for my 10 year old detectors. Fitted on existing patress so no wiring needed. They even talk to each other so if one goes off they all go off, which is much safer. Best price I could find in the uk as well

This was a replacement for an old Aico smoke alarm and was easy to swap for the old one with no need for rewiring or anything. The only downside is that they provide a base plate which needs disposing of along with old alarm.
