Locate Function
The 'Locate' switch will silence all the alarms on the system except for the alarm that has been triggered, whether in an emergency or a nuisance alarm. Pressing the 'Locate' button will only temporarily disable the interconnect line between the alarms and does not disable individual alarms within the system. Each alarm will still fully functional as a stand alone unit until the system is automatically reset in 10 minutes.
Test
Pressing the 'Test' button will test all the alarms on the system. This will save time and the requirement to manually press the test button on each detector. Pressing the 'Test' switch overrides the 'Locate' function and resets the system to standby.
Silence
The 'Silence' switch will hush all the alarms on the system, allowing silencing of false alarms. The system will reset after 10 minutes. If a fire or high levels of carbon monoxide occurs during those 10 minutes, the 'Silence' feature will be overridden and the alarm will be triggered.
Main Check
The 'Main Check' provides a warning of mains failure as the Test feature will not operate.
