With a height of 580mm and a width of 1055mm, RF12E Plus is sized for typical under-window runs and longer walls in medium to large rooms. Twelve aluminium elements are filled with sealed EcoFluid thermal oil, spreading heat evenly across the radiator so the whole space feels consistently warm rather than hot near the heater and cool elsewhere. The 1500W output offers a strong balance between quick warm-up and efficient ongoing operation, making it a good replacement for older panel heaters or night storage in main living areas.

24/7 Digital Programming With Three Temperature Levels

RF12E Plus uses the same integral electronic thermostat and programmer as the rest of the RFE PLUS family, with 0.1°C sensing resolution and 0.5°C setpoint steps for accurate temperature control. The controller can be run as a simple 24-hour timer or as a full 7-day schedule, with each day divided into 48 half-hour periods. Across those periods you can allocate three temperature levels: SUN for comfort heating, MOON for economy background heating and an OFF band that provides fixed frost protection at around 3°C. The front selector has three clear positions: 0 to switch the radiator off, P to follow the stored programme and I to hold continuous SUN temperature, which is useful when you want constant comfort without rewriting the schedule.

Energy-Saving Intelligence And Safety

To help reduce wasted energy, RF12E Plus includes Adaptive Start Control and Open Window Detection. Adaptive Start learns how quickly the room heats and automatically brings the radiator on earlier when required, so the set temperature is reached at the programmed time rather than too early. Open Window Detection monitors for sharp drops in room temperature and temporarily suspends heating when one is detected, helping to avoid unnecessary consumption while a window or door is open. Both functions are configured from the advanced menu on the front panel, where you can also enable the keyboard lock to prevent tampering in rented or shared spaces. An 85°C automatic-reset thermal limiter and Class I earthed construction provide additional protection for fixed installations.

Installer-Friendly, Low-Maintenance Design

RF12E Plus is designed as a wall-mounted radiator supplied with brackets and fixings, using a straightforward hang-and-lock system that makes it easier to achieve a level installation. Minimum clearances around the heater are specified in the manual to maintain airflow and performance, and the sealed EcoFluid oil core is maintenance free with no bleeding or refilling required over the life of the product. Once wired to a suitable 220–240V~ supply through a double-pole isolator, the radiator needs only occasional cleaning with a soft, dry cloth, making it a practical choice for homeowners and landlords who want predictable, low-maintenance electric heating in medium to large rooms.
