At 580mm high and 735mm wide, RF8E Plus fits comfortably under most windows and along short to mid-length wall runs, making it a flexible choice when space is limited. Eight aluminium elements are filled with sealed EcoFluid thermal oil, which spreads heat evenly across the radiator so rooms feel consistently warm instead of hot near the heater and cool elsewhere. The 1000W output gives a useful balance of quick warm-up and efficient running, making it well suited to small to medium-sized rooms in homes and light commercial properties.

24/7 Digital Programming With Three Temperature Levels

RF8E Plus shares the same integral electronic thermostat and programmer as the rest of the RFE PLUS family. The controller senses temperature in 0.1°C steps and allows setpoint changes in 0.5°C increments, so comfort can be trimmed very precisely. It can operate as a simple 24-hour timer or a full 7-day schedule, with each day divided into 48 half-hour periods. Across those periods you can allocate three temperature levels: SUN for comfort heating, MOON for economy background heating, and an OFF band that provides fixed frost protection at around 3°C. The front selector has three clear positions: 0 to switch the radiator off, P to follow the stored programme and I to maintain the SUN temperature continuously when constant comfort is required without altering the schedule.

Energy-Saving Intelligence And Safety

To help keep running costs under control, RF8E Plus includes Adaptive Start Control and Open Window Detection. Adaptive Start learns how quickly the room heats and automatically brings the radiator on earlier when needed, so the set temperature is reached exactly at the programmed time rather than too early. Open Window Detection monitors for sudden drops in room temperature and temporarily suspends heating when one is detected, avoiding unnecessary consumption while a window or external door is open. These functions, along with a keyboard lock to prevent tampering in rented or shared spaces, are configured via the front-panel advanced menu. An automatic-reset 85°C thermal limiter and Class I earthed construction add further protection for fixed installations.

Installer-Friendly, Low-Maintenance Design

RF8E Plus is designed as a wall-mounted radiator and is supplied with brackets and fixings, using a simple hang-and-lock system that makes it easier to achieve a level installation on suitable walls. Minimum clearances around the heater are clearly set out in the installation guide to maintain airflow and performance. The EcoFluid oil core is sealed for life, so there is no bleeding or refilling during the product’s service life; routine care is limited to occasional cleaning once the unit is cold and isolated from the supply. Once wired to a suitable 220–240V~ circuit via a double-pole isolator, RF8E Plus provides predictable, low-maintenance electric heating for small to medium rooms.
