Fusebox RTA800302 RCD 80A DP Type A

FuseBox RTA800302 is an 80A 30mA Type A 2 pole RCD (residual current device), built to EN/IEC 61008-1 with a 10kA rated breaking capacity. It gives reliable 30mA earth leakage protection for a group of circuits in consumer units, distribution boards and modular enclosures.

30mA Type A Protection

The RTA800302 detects earth leakage and disconnects the supply when residual current reaches its 30mA rating, protecting people against electric shock. Because it is Type A, it responds to AC residual currents and pulsating DC residual currents, with tolerance to smooth DC up to 6mA. Many modern appliances with electronic controls produce these currents, so Type A protection makes it a sound choice for today's domestic installations. With an 80A rating, it can protect a whole bank of circuits in a split-load board or a busy sub-board.

Flexible, Installer-Friendly Wiring

The poles are not polarity sensitive, so line and neutral can go on either side. The load can be connected at the top or the bottom, which makes it easy to fit the RCD into different board layouts without awkward cable runs. Terminals accept cables up to 25mm² at a 2.5Nm torque setting. The 2 module (35.9mm) body clips straight onto a standard 35mm DIN rail.

Reliable, Standards-Tested Performance

The RTA800302 has a 10kA rated breaking capacity and a mechanical endurance of 10,000 operations, for dependable long-term service. It is built to EN/IEC 61008-1. At its rated 30mA it must trip within 300ms, and at five times that current within 40ms, while it will not trip at half its rated current. That helps avoid nuisance tripping while still giving fast protection. A front test button makes routine checks quick and simple.
