Fusebox RTB630302M RCD 63A DP Type B

FuseBox RTB630302M is a 63A 30mA Type B 2 pole RCD, built to IEC EN 61008-1 and IEC EN 62423. It gives full residual current protection, including smooth DC fault currents, for EV chargers, solar PV, heat pumps and other installations with power electronics.

Full Type B Fault Detection

A Type B RCD detects a much wider range of residual currents than a Type A device. The RTB630302M responds to sinusoidal AC, pulsating DC, pulsating DC with superimposed smooth DC, rectified waveforms, high-frequency currents up to 1kHz and smooth DC. Smooth DC fault currents can blind a Type A RCD and stop it tripping. A Type B RCD keeps working where those currents can occur, so people stay protected. It trips at its rated 30mA within 0.1s.

Built for EV Charging, Solar PV and Heat Pumps

Equipment with inverters, rectifiers and variable speed drives can produce smooth DC residual currents. That includes EV chargers without built-in DC fault detection, solar PV inverters, battery storage, heat pumps and three-phase drives. The RTB630302M provides the protection these circuits need where the equipment manufacturer requires a Type B RCD. With a 63A rating, it suits a dedicated EV charger supply or a protected sub-board.

Robust, Installer-Friendly Design

The RTB630302M has a 6kV rated impulse withstand voltage and a 630A rated residual making and breaking capacity. It operates in ambient temperatures from -5°C to +40°C. Cage terminals accept cables up to 25mm² at a 2.5Nm torque setting, and the device clips onto a standard 35mm top hat DIN rail. A front test button makes routine trip checks quick and simple.
