The Kosnic Mulu Duo MUL0105/SST is a full-size self-contained emergency bulkhead and exit sign luminaire that combines manual test and automatic self-test operation in a single fitting, selectable via an internal DIP switch. Delivering 160lm of emergency luminous flux across a 120° beam angle, with IP65 and IK10 ratings, a 5-year battery life, and use-with-or-without exit sign graphic flexibility, it is a versatile, long-life solution for three-hour emergency coverage across commercial, industrial, and public building escape routes — indoors or outside.

Manual or Self-Test — Selectable via Internal DIP Switch

An internal dual-mode DIP switch allows the installer to select between standard manual test and automatic self-test operation conforming to BS EN 62034 — no rewiring required, either at commissioning or if the testing regime needs to change later. In self-test mode, the unit performs scheduled functional and duration checks automatically, removing manual test rounds from the maintenance programme and supporting automated compliance records. Standard and self-test emergency operation are both confirmed compliant, giving specifiers a single product that covers either requirement.

Clear LED Status Indication with Adjustable Brightness

A green LED status indicator on the fitting face uses distinct flash patterns to commuanicate system health, test status, and fault conditions at a glance — covering system healthy, duration test pending, duration test running, functional test running, battery charging fault, battery duration fault, lamp or luminaire fault, and installation fault warning. Indicator brightness is fully adjustable: press and hold the test button for more than two seconds to dim or brighten the LED to suit the environment, preventing unnecessary light disturbance in sensitive locations.

Use as Bulkhead or Exit Sign — Adaptable Self-Adhesive Graphics Included

The MUL0105/SST can be installed as a standard emergency bulkhead luminaire without any exit sign graphic, or fitted with the supplied adaptable self-adhesive graphics for escape route guidance. This dual-purpose flexibility reduces the number of product lines a contractor needs to stock, with a single fitting covering both general emergency illumination and directional exit sign applications depending on where it is placed.

Installation Built for Speed and Compliance

A 20mm conduit entry, BESA box fitting points, and dual entry push-wire terminal block enable clean loop-in loop-out wiring without additional adaptors or back boxes. All legends are included. Class II double-insulated ABS housing with polycarbonate diffuser means no earth connection is required. IP65 and IK10 ratings qualify the unit for demanding internal and external locations including plant rooms, stairwells, car parks, and covered external escape routes. The 0°C to 50°C operating range covers both standard internal environments and elevated-temperature plant room installations.
