Zappi GLO Untethered 7kW Smart EV Charger benefits from built-in solar compatibility and integration with leading smart EV tariffs. The zappi GLO Untethered keeps the GLO range's compact design with no screen and no buttons. Drivers plug in their own charging cable, which keeps the driveway clean and uncluttered and everyday control runs through the MyEnergi app. It's an easy plug-in charger with smart energy management built in.

Money-Saving Smart Charging

MyEnergi integrates with more leading smart EV tariffs in Great Britain than any other EV charger manufacturer, including Octopus Energy, EDF and OVO. The Zappi GLO connects directly with supported tariffs and automatically charges when electricity is cheapest and often when it's greenest. That cuts running costs without anyone having to remember to plug in at midnight.

Homeowners can also sign up to Gridpay, an exclusive MyEnergi service that rewards drivers for charging during quieter periods or when excess energy is available. It's another way to reduce costs while helping balance demand on the network.

Renewable-Ready Home Energy Management

The Zappi GLO charges from grid, solar or battery energy. It works with the MyEnergi ecosystem, including the harvi wireless sensor, eddi power diverter and libbi home battery. Homeowners use more of the energy they generate and export less of it for a low return.

The MyEnergi app gives a single view of generation, storage and consumption across the home. Optional dynamic load balancing limits the current drawn from the supply or grid. Charging can then run alongside other household loads without overloading the incoming supply.

Control & Access

Tap-to-charge RFID access means only authorised users can start a charging session. A multicolour LED changes colour with charge status and a built-in buzzer gives audible feedback. Status is clear at a glance, even without a screen.

OCPP 1.6J support via the MyEnergi backend allows integration with third-party charge point management platforms. This makes the Zappi GLO a practical choice for small businesses and shared driveways as well as homes.

Installation & Compliance

Commissioning runs step by step through the dedicated Installer Assistant app. It covers customer details, Wi-Fi, load management, CT settings and RFID pairing, which speeds up sign-off on site. A harvi wireless sensor removes the need for long CT cable runs back to the consumer unit.

The charger has integrated PEN fault protection compliant with BS 7671 and 6mA DC residual current protection to EN 62955, alongside IP65 and IK10 ratings. Installers get a robust, regulation-ready charger for indoor or outdoor mounting. Installers using MyEnergi products also have access to UK-based technical support, training resources and the Installer Centre.
