The Greenwood Centair CMEV.4e Continuous Mechanical Extract Ventilation Unit provides centralised, continuous extraction for residential ventilation systems, combining low-energy operation with a compact, installer-friendly design. With a Specific Fan Power as low as 0.16W/l/s, five 125mm extract spigots and flexible wall, floor or ceiling mounting, the CMEV.4e is designed for straightforward specification and space-saving installation in new properties.

Low-Energy Continuous Extraction

The Centair CMEV.4e uses an EC low-energy motor with a backward-curved centrifugal impeller to provide efficient continuous extraction. Its Specific Fan Power of just 0.16W/l/s and maximum power consumption of 38W help keep running costs under control while maintaining effective whole-home ventilation.

The motor features sealed-for-life bearings for dependable operation, while the high-grade polypropylene body keeps the complete unit lightweight at just 3.8kg.

Flexible Installation & Easy Commissioning

Designed for versatile installation, the CMEV.4e can be mounted vertically or horizontally on a wall, floor or ceiling, helping installers accommodate different property layouts and restricted installation spaces.

Five individual 125mm extract spigots provide connections for multiple extract points, with a single 125mm exhaust connection for direct connection to standard ducting. The unit also features a removable fan assembly for easier maintenance access.

Precise Variable Speed Control

The CMEV.4e offers 100% variable speed control across both low and high speed settings, allowing the extract rate to be accurately commissioned for the installation. Front-mounted built-in speed controls make adjustment straightforward during commissioning.

A 230V switched live input allows the unit speed to be varied using external controls. Two-speed operation can be controlled via a light switch, while additional control arrangements can provide trickle, boost and medium-speed operation.

Compact, Installer-Friendly Design

Measuring 260mm high, 381mm wide and 371mm deep, the compact Centair CMEV.4e provides flexible positioning where installation space is limited. A single corner fixing assists initial positioning and alignment before the remaining fixings are secured, helping simplify installation.

An optional ZGS2 two-position switch, sold separately, provides manual selection between two ventilation flow rates. The unit is also CE and UKCA marked and conforms to the LVD and EMC standards specified by the manufacturer.
