Replacing the discontinued Elnur ECOSSH158, the Elnur Gabarron ECOSSH158SOLAR is a compact, solar-ready smart storage heater designed to make the most of surplus PV or other renewable energy while still working as a high-efficiency off-peak storage heater. With intelligent charge control, integrated digital programming and optional WiFi app control, it’s ideal for smaller rooms where clients want low running costs, precise comfort and future-proof heating.

Renewable-Ready Smart Storage Heating: ECOSSH158SOLAR is part of Elnur’s Ecombi SOLAR range, using patented Solar Manager technology to divert surplus self-generated solar (or other renewable) energy into the heater’s core rather than exporting it back to the grid. When there isn’t enough solar available, it automatically tops up from the grid during off-peak hours, so the room still hits temperature without wasting expensive peak-rate energy.

Integral Energy Manager (IEM) technology constantly monitors room conditions and recent usage, then adjusts the overnight charge so the heater only stores the energy it actually needs. This reduces over-charging, cuts unnecessary consumption and helps properties meet tougher efficiency expectations.

Smart Control & Modern Convenience: Out of the box, the ECOSSH158SOLAR offers a built-in 7-day programmer with daily and weekly schedules, three temperature modes (Comfort, Economy and Frost Protection), adaptive start and open-window detection. Adaptive start pre-heats so the room reaches the setpoint exactly at the programmed time, while open-window detection pauses heating if it senses a sudden temperature drop, avoiding wasted energy when doors or windows are left open.

Add an Elnur G-Control Hub and the heater becomes WiFi controllable via the Elnur app, allowing remote adjustment, monitoring and multi-room management from anywhere with an internet connection. The system is also compatible with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant, making it easy for clients to integrate into wider smart-home setups.

Comfort, Safety & Installer-Friendly Design: A 450W aluminium balancing element delivers responsive top-up heat when the stored energy alone isn’t enough, improving warm-up times and comfort in small rooms up to around 4m². High-density storage bricks and quality insulation around the casing help retain heat and release it steadily throughout the day.

For installers, the ECOSSH158SOLAR is wall-mounted with bottom-right cable entry, stainless steel elements, IP2X rating and built-in overheat protection with manual-reset safety thermostat. It’s fully SAP and EcoDesign Lot20 compliant, runs on 240V supply and can work with single or dual off-peak tariffs, making it straightforward to specify on modern electric-heating projects.

Please Note: Elnur Ecombi solar storage heaters require the addition of 1 Elnur Solar Box per home to allow for the integral control and management of the heaters with the G Control System
