Elnur Gabarron ECOSSH408 SOLAR — 1.2kW Solar Smart Storage Heater with WiFi-Ready G-Control and Solar Manager Technology.

Replacing the discontinued Elnur ECOSSH408, the Elnur Gabarron ECOSSH408 SOLAR is the largest model in the Ecombi SOLAR range, designed to deliver efficient, controllable electric heating while maximising the use of surplus solar or other renewable energy. With Solar Manager technology, integrated digital controls and optional WiFi app management, it’s a strong choice for larger rooms where clients want lower running costs, smart control and future-ready electric heating.

Renewable-Ready Smart Storage Heating: The ECOSSH408 SOLAR uses Elnur’s Solar Manager technology to detect surplus self-generated solar energy and divert it into the heater’s storage core rather than exporting it back to the grid. When solar generation is low, it automatically charges from the grid during low-cost off-peak periods, so end users still get reliable all-day warmth while keeping peak-rate consumption down.

Integral Energy Manager (IEM) technology constantly monitors room conditions and recent usage and then adjusts the overnight charge level so the heater only stores the energy it actually needs. This self-learning behaviour reduces over-charging and wasted energy and helps properties meet EcoDesign Lot20 and SAP efficiency requirements.

Smart Control & Scheduling Convenience: Out of the box, ECOSSH408 SOLAR includes a fully programmable 7-day timer with daily and weekly schedules plus three operating modes — Comfort, Economy and Frost Protection — so occupiers can match heat output to their routine. Adaptive Start pre-warms the room to reach the set temperature at the programmed time, while Open Window detection temporarily shuts the heater down when it senses a sudden drop in temperature, reducing waste if windows or external doors are left open.

An integrated G-Control system makes the heater WiFi-ready. Add a G-Control Hub and the Solar Box accessory and users can control temperature, schedules and solar surplus management via the Elnur app from anywhere with an internet connection, as well as integrate with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant for voice control. This makes the ECOSSH408 SOLAR ideal for smart-home projects, managed properties and multi-room installations.

Efficient, Installer-Friendly Design: A 1200W aluminium balancing element provides fast top-up heat when stored energy alone is not enough, improving warm-up times in living rooms, larger bedrooms and open-plan areas up to around 12m². High-density heat retention blocks, Class 1 insulation and air-isolating chambers around the casing help store energy efficiently and release it steadily through the day.

The ECOSSH408 SOLAR runs from a 240V supply and can be wired for single or dual supply, making it suitable for traditional Economy 7/E10 meters and unrestricted economy tariffs. It is wall mounted with bottom-right cable exit, IP2X rated, constructed from steel with an epoxy powder-coated RAL9010 white finish and includes overheat protection with a manual-reset safety thermostat.
