Replacing the discontinued Elnur ECOSSH208, the Elnur Gabarron ECOSSH208SOLAR is a compact, 600W solar smart storage heater designed to maximise self-consumption from PV or other renewable systems while still operating as a highly efficient off-peak storage heater. With Solar Manager technology, integrated G-Control electronics and optional WiFi app control, it’s ideal for smaller rooms where clients want lower running costs, precise comfort and future-ready electric heating.

Renewable-Ready Smart Storage Heating: ECOSSH208SOLAR is part of the Ecombi SOLAR range, using patented Solar Manager technology to detect surplus self-generated solar energy and convert it into stored heat instead of exporting it back to the grid. When solar isn’t available, it automatically reverts to charging during low-cost off-peak periods so occupants still get 24-hour comfort without relying solely on peak-rate electricity.

The heater incorporates Elnur’s IEM (Integral Energy Manager), which constantly monitors room conditions and user demand and then adjusts the overnight charge level accordingly. This self-regulating behaviour avoids over-charging, cuts unnecessary consumption and helps properties meet modern EcoDesign Lot20 and SAP efficiency expectations.

Smart Control & Scheduling Convenience: Out of the box, ECOSSH208SOLAR provides a built-in 7-day programmer with daily and weekly scheduling, plus three temperature modes (Comfort, Economy and Frost Protection) so occupiers can match heat output to their routine. Adaptive start pre-warms the room so that the set temperature is reached at the programmed time, while open-window detection pauses heating if a rapid drop in temperature is detected, reducing wasted energy when windows or doors are left open.

With the addition of an Elnur G-Control Hub and Solar Box, installers can offer full WiFi control via the free Elnur Gabarron app – including room-by-room scheduling, temperature changes, and solar surplus management – all from a phone. The G-Control system also integrates with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant, ideal for smart-home projects or remote property management.

Efficient, Installer-Friendly Design: A 600W aluminium balancing element supplements the stored heat when required, giving faster warm-up times and providing immediate top-up heat in colder conditions. High-density storage bricks and high-quality insulation materials around the body help retain energy and release warmth steadily through the day, maintaining setpoint temperature with minimal waste.

The heater is wall-mounted with bottom-right cable exit, runs from a 240V supply and can work with unrestricted economy tariffs or conventional off-peak meters. It’s IP2X rated, EcoDesign Lot20 and SAP compliant, and comes with a 5-year warranty, giving contractors confidence on long-term performance and compliance.
