Replacing the discontinued Elnur ECOSSH308, the Elnur Gabarron ECOSSH308SOLAR is a 900W solar smart storage heater designed to maximise self-consumption from PV or other renewables while still working as a highly efficient Economy 7 storage heater. Using Solar Manager and IEM (Integral Energy Manager) technology, it intelligently balances solar surplus, off-peak grid charging and room heat demand, making it a strong choice for medium-sized rooms where running cost and comfort both matter.

Renewable-Ready Smart Storage Heating: The ECOSSH308SOLAR sits in the Ecombi SOLAR range and uses Solar Manager technology to detect surplus self-generated solar energy, diverting it into the heater’s core instead of exporting back to the grid. If there isn’t enough solar available, it automatically charges from the grid during low-cost off-peak hours, so customers still get reliable all-day warmth with minimal peak-rate consumption.

Elnur’s IEM continuously monitors room temperature, climate and recent usage, then adjusts the overnight charge so the heater only stores what it actually needs. This reduces waste, prevents overcharging and helps properties meet modern EcoDesign Lot20 and SAP efficiency expectations.

Smart Control & Scheduling Convenience: Out of the box, the ECOSSH308SOLAR includes a fully programmable daily and weekly timer, with three operating modes — Comfort, Economy and Frost Protection — so end users can match heating to their routine. Adaptive Start pre-warms the room to ensure the set temperature is reached at the programmed time, while Open Window Detection pauses heating if it senses a sudden temperature drop, cutting waste when windows or external doors are left open.

An integrated G Control system makes the heater WiFi-ready. Add the optional G Control Hub and Solar Box and the heater can be controlled via the Elnur Gabarron app, with access to scheduling, temperature control and solar surplus management from anywhere with an internet connection. The system also works with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant, ideal for smart-home and managed-property installs.

Efficient, Installer-Friendly Design: A built-in 900W aluminium balancing element provides fast top-up heat when stored energy alone isn’t enough, improving warm-up times in living rooms, bedrooms and similar spaces up to around 8m². High-density heat retention blocks, high quality insulation and air isolating chambers around the casing help store energy efficiently and release it steadily through the day.

The ECOSSH308SOLAR runs from a 240V supply and is suitable for traditional Economy 7/Economy 10 meters or unrestricted economy tariffs, accepting a single or dual supply as needed. It’s wall mounted with bottom-right cable exit, IP2X rated, uses robust steel construction with epoxy powder-coated RAL9010 finish and incorporates overheat protection with a safety thermostat and manual reset.
