The Greenwood Zehnder Centair CMEV.4eHT Continuous Mechanical Extract Ventilation Unit provides centralised extraction for new-build residential properties, combining intelligent humidity control with low-energy performance and flexible installation. Featuring HumidiSMART and TimerSMART technology, five 125mm extract spigots, BMS compatibility and a Specific Fan Power as low as 0.16W/l/s, it provides installers with a versatile solution for continuous whole-home extract ventilation.

Intelligent Humidity & Timer Control

HumidiSMART continuously monitors humidity within the home and identifies man-made spikes above the natural background humidity level. When additional moisture is detected, the CMEV.4eHT automatically boosts extraction, helping manage humidity without relying on a single fixed activation threshold.

TimerSMART determines the duration of high-speed operation and allocates a suitable overrun period. This helps prevent unnecessary over-ventilation and nuisance noise while maintaining effective extraction after periods of increased ventilation demand.

Low-Energy, Multi-Room Extraction

With a Specific Fan Power as low as 0.16W/l/s and maximum power consumption of 38W, the Centair CMEV.4eHT is designed to provide continuous extraction while keeping energy consumption low.

The unit provides five individual 125mm extract spigots alongside a single 125mm exhaust connection for connection to standard ducting. Its EC low-energy motor with sealed-for-life bearings and backward-curved centrifugal impeller provides efficient, dependable operation for centralised residential ventilation.

Flexible Installation & Precise Commissioning

The CMEV.4eHT can be installed vertically or horizontally on a wall, floor or ceiling, giving contractors greater flexibility when working with different property layouts and available spaces. Its compact polypropylene construction weighs just 3.8kg, making the unit easier to handle during installation.

Front-mounted speed controls provide 100% variable adjustment of both low and high speeds, allowing the extract rate to be precisely commissioned for the property. A removable fan assembly also provides full access for ongoing maintenance.

Flexible Controls & BMS Integration

The Centair CMEV.4eHT supports BMS integration with speed control and status indication, making it suitable for installations requiring greater control flexibility. Inputs include 230V switched live, 0-10V and volt-free contact, while a relay contact enables remote fault indication.

Optional ZGS1 three-position and ZGS2 two-position switches are available separately for manual ventilation flow-rate selection. The unit conforms to the LVD and EMC standards stated by the manufacturer and is CE and UKCA marked.
