Load-Balanced Single-Phase Charging

This single-phase variant supports optional Auto Power Balancing (load management), automatically adjusting the charge rate to protect the site's main fuse from overcurrent when the EV load is added. A CT Clamp option reinforces this by monitoring the property's supply, so the charger works around existing electrical capacity instead of the electrician having to upgrade the incoming supply.

Ready to Scale

Unlike the three-phase Solo Pro, this S7 model is compatible with Array Charging, meaning multiple units can be installed and managed together as demand grows. That makes it a practical choice for sites planning ahead — from a driveway installation that may later add a second charger to small multi-bay commercial car parks.

Rugged, Weatherproof Build

Housed in a polycarbonate enclosure rated IP54 (IP44/54 for the plugs and socket) with an IK10 impact rating, the Solo Pro shrugs off weather and knocks alike. It's rated to operate from -25°C to 40°C, so it holds up through UK winters and heatwaves without losing performance.

Compliance & Safety Built In

Pod Point's PEN isolation system provides complete earthing protection without an additional earth rod, and the on-board 6mA DC leakage protection is fully compliant with BS7671:2018 — meaning it works safely with a standard Type A RCD/RCBO rather than a costlier Type B. The unit meets and exceeds the required and optional safety provisions of BS EN 61851-1 for EV charging.
