BG Fortress CF236MS31-01 — 36 Module 31 Way 2-Row Main Switch Consumer Unit with Type 2 SPD

The BG CF236MS31-01 is a 36-module, 31-way main switch consumer unit supplied with a factory-fitted 100A main switch, 100A 2-pole connector block, and a pre-wired Type 2 surge protection device (SPD). Designed to provide maximum circuit flexibility for larger homes and dual-tariff or renewable installations, it fully meets the requirements of the 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671).

This two-row consumer unit supports MCBs, RCBOs, RCDs, AFDDs and control devices, making it ideal for modern electrical layouts where circuit segregation, surge protection and future expansion are essential.

High-Capacity Split Design for Flexible Installations

With 31 usable ways, the CF236MS31-01 offers a large amount of circuit space suitable for properties with increasing numbers of final circuits — including EV chargers, heat pumps, PV, storage heaters, smart home controls and outbuildings.

The two-row layout allows installers to organise circuits logically and accommodate dual-tariff or renewable-energy arrangements with ease.

Built-In Surge Protection for BS 7671 Compliance

A Type 2 SPD (1-module, pre-wired) is included as standard, providing protection against transient overvoltage events such as lightning strikes or switching surges. This helps safeguard appliances and sensitive electronics throughout the installation.

The CF236MS31-01 is designed to reduce installation time and support clean, professional results:

Integrated spirit level for accurate mounting

Large rear knockouts (4 rows) for versatile cable entry

40mm knockouts on sides, top and base

Backed-out and retained terminal screws

Optional cable clamp included

The enclosure is finished in RAL9016 Traffic White and meets IP2XC safety standards.
