BG Fortress CURAFDB6A — 6A B Curve Type A AFDD + RCBO (Arc Fault Detection Device, 30mA, 6kA)

The BG CURAFDB6A is a 6A B-curve, Type A AFDD with integrated RCBO protection, designed to provide the highest possible level of fire and fault protection in domestic and light-commercial electrical installations. As an Arc Fault Detection Device, it detects dangerous electrical arcing conditions that standard MCBs, RCDs and RCBOs cannot identify, including series arcs, parallel arcs between conductors, and arcing to earth.

By combining AFDD technology with overload, short-circuit and 30mA residual-current protection, the CURAFDB6A offers full safeguarding in a compact single-module device, making it ideal for circuits supplying lighting, sockets, and vulnerable cable routes.

AFDDs are engineered to detect early signs of electrical fires caused by:

Damaged, crushed or pinched cables

Loose or poorly terminated connections

Age-related cable insulation breakdown

Rodent-damaged wiring
