BG Fortress CURAFDB10A — 10A B Curve Type A AFDD + RCBO (Arc Fault Detection Device, 30mA, 6kA)

The BG CURAFDB10A is a 10A B-curve AFDD with integrated Type A RCBO, delivering the highest level of circuit and fire protection available for domestic and light-commercial installations. It detects dangerous arcing faults—a major cause of electrical fires—that standard MCBs, RCDs and RCBOs cannot identify, including series arcs, parallel arcs and arcing to earth.

By combining AFDD, overload protection, short-circuit protection and 30mA Type A residual-current protection into a compact single-module device, the CURAFDB10A is ideal for socket circuits, lighting, ring finals, and cable routes vulnerable to damage.

AFDD technology continuously monitors circuit waveforms, identifying arc signatures arising from:

Loose or damaged cable terminations

Crushed or degraded cables

Rodent-damaged wiring

Overstressed conductors and failing insulation

The device disconnects the circuit before an electrical fire can develop, making it a critical upgrade for enhanced building safety.
