The Aico Ei408 RadioLINK Switched Input Module provides a simple way to connect external life safety devices, such as sprinkler flow switches, into an Aico RadioLINK alarm system. When the external device operates, the Ei408 sends a wireless RadioLINK signal to all interconnected alarms so the warning is heard throughout the property.

Wireless Interface For Sprinklers And Other Devices

The Ei408 is designed to take a switched input from an external device and use it to trigger Aico RadioLINK smoke, heat and CO alarms. This makes it ideal for linking sprinkler systems, flow switches, relays or other third-party equipment into a single, audible alarm network. Using RadioLINK wireless interconnection means there is no need to hard-wire interlinks between devices, reducing cabling time and disruption on site.

Quick, Wire-Free Installation

A sealed 10-year lithium battery powers the module, so there is no requirement for a local mains supply. The compact 92mm×92mm enclosure can be surface mounted close to the external trigger device, keeping any hard wiring short and simple. With an RF range of more than 100m in free air, installers have flexibility when locating compatible Aico alarms around the building.

Front-mounted LEDs give clear visual feedback during commissioning and routine checks. The green LED confirms power, the red LED indicates House Code status when adding the unit to a system, and the amber LED shows end-of-life so the module can be replaced at the right time.
