The Greenwood Unity CV2.1CTA110 Low Energy dMEV Extract Fan provides continuous mechanical extract ventilation for bathrooms, kitchens, utility rooms and WCs, with SMART humidity and timer controls to automatically respond to changing ventilation requirements. Designed specifically for use with 110mm semi-rigid ductwork, it combines ultra-quiet operation from just 7.9dB(A), low-energy performance and 100% variable airflow commissioning in one versatile fan.

One Fan for Multiple Wet Room Applications

The Unity CV2.1 range follows a 'one fan' concept, allowing the same dMEV solution to be specified across kitchens, bathrooms, utility rooms and WCs. This simplifies product selection for new-build, planned maintenance and larger residential programmes while providing continuous extraction across different wet-room applications.

The CV2.1CTA110 variant is designed for connection to ComfoTube 110mm semi-rigid ductwork, providing installers with a dedicated option for semi-rigid ducting systems. The datasheet states that this arrangement can speed up installation while helping reduce air leakage, running costs and noise.

SMART Humidity & Timer Control

HumidiSMART monitors the installed environment and responds to man-made humidity spikes above the natural background level. TimerSMART monitors how long the switched live has been active and provides an overrun period matched to occupancy duration. This helps maintain effective extraction while reducing unnecessary running time, night-time noise and energy use.

With sound levels as low as 7.9dB(A) at 3m in minimum speed mode, the Unity CV2.1 provides discreet continuous ventilation for occupied areas. Specific Fan Power is as low as 0.10W/l/s, with maximum power consumption of just 6W, helping minimise the energy required for continuous operation.

The fan has been tested and certified against the 2021 UK Building Regulations, while the datasheet provides PCDB performance figures for both rigid and semi-rigid ducting configurations.

Quick Commissioning & Flexible Installation

A front-mounted capacitive touch pad keeps the commissioning controls easily accessible after installation. Both low and high airflow rates offer 100% variable speed control, allowing the installer to accurately commission the fan for the required application.

Once calibrated, the settings can be locked to prevent unwanted adjustment and are retained following a loss of power. The compact 68mm spigot design also helps accommodate shallow ceiling voids, while the fan can be installed on walls, ceilings or windows when used with the appropriate window adaptor kit.
