The Spit Tapcon 058681 is a 6x60mm Tapcon 5 XTREM dome head concrete screw anchor designed for fast, high-performance fixing of channel, cable tray, brackets and trunking directly into concrete. With multiple embedment options (35, 40 or 55mm depending on fixture thickness) and ETA approval for cracked and non cracked concrete, it delivers reliable, code-compliant anchoring without plugs, sleeves or resin.

Versatile 6x60mm Fixing For Channel, Tray & Brackets

At 6mm drill diameter and 7.5mm thread, the Tapcon 5 XTREM screw cuts its own concrete thread to provide a high-strength mechanical fix. Recommended tensile working loads are up to 4.0kN in non cracked C20/25 concrete and 2.2kN in cracked concrete (55mm embedment), with shear loads up to 4.0kN when spacing and edge distances are respected. That makes the 058681 a strong choice for supporting cable tray, ladder, trunking, safety barriers and bracketry on commercial and industrial jobs.

Fast, Plug-Free Installation

Installation is a simple three step process – drill a 6mm hole to hnom + 10mm, blow out the dust, then drive the screw with a torque impact screwdriver until the dome head clamps the fixture tight. The TX30 recess gives a positive drive, reducing cam-out and making overhead work more controlled, while maximum recommended impact torque for Ø6 anchors goes up to 210Nm at 55mm embedment. No drop-in anchors, expansion sleeves or curing times means faster, cleaner installs and less kit to carry.

Approved For Cracked Concrete, Seismic & Fire Rated Applications

Tapcon 5 XTREM concrete screws are ETA approved (ETA 24/0388 and ETA 24/0389) for use in cracked and non cracked concrete and seismic performance categories C1 and C2, giving confidence for safety critical and design-led projects. Fire design resistances are available up to R120, allowing the anchor to be used in fire engineered installations and escape routes when designed in accordance with the ETA.

Installer-Friendly Edge Distances & Slab Thickness

For Ø6 anchors at 55mm embedment, the minimum concrete thickness is 100mm with characteristic edge distance 66mm and spacing 132mm for full capacity; minimum practical edge and spacing distances are 40mm in cracked or non cracked concrete where reduced capacities are acceptable. At shallower embedments of 35–40mm, minimum slab thickness is just 80mm, helping on thinner slabs and tight soffits. The zinc coated steel body is optimised for dry internal environments and the dome head sits proud but snag free on brackets and channels.
